I am a professor in the Department of SEMTE at Arizona State University. I am conducting a research study to evaluate how an interactive air quality game improves participant awareness, learning, and decision-making related to indoor and outdoor air quality.
I am inviting your participation, which will involve:

Your participation in this study is voluntary. If you choose not to participate or withdraw at any time, there will be no penalty or loss of benefits to which you are otherwise entitled. You must be 18 years or older to participate.
There is no direct benefit to you. However, possible benefits include:
Your responses will be confidential (not anonymous). We will collect name, email address, institution name, job title, gameplay interactions (choices, actions, time spent), assessment responses and scores, general contextual data such as ZIP code and air quality conditions.
Your identifiable information (such as name, email, institution, and job title) will be stored separately from gameplay and assessment data. You will be assigned a random ParticipantID that links your data without using your name or email. Research reports will use only coded or de-identified data, and your name and email will not appear in any reports, presentations, or publications. Access to identifiable information will be limited to authorized research personnel, and all data will be stored using secure systems.
While we take steps to protect your data, complete confidentiality cannot be guaranteed due to the nature of online systems. De-identified data collected as part of this study may be used for future research or shared with other researchers, but no identifying information will be included.
